Lisa Zimmerelli

PROJECT CO-DIRECTOR

Dr. Zimmerelli is an Associate Professor and Chair of Writing at Loyola University Maryland. She teaches first-year writing, rhetoric, creative nonfiction, and the course that prepares students to be Writing Center tutors. She also publishes on issues of community engagement and social justice in the Writing Center, tutor training, feminist historiography, and rhetorical traditions in the US.

Dr. Zimmerelli previously served as Director of the Writing Center at Loyola and Director of the Writing Center at University of Maryland Global Campus. 

When Dr. Brizee transitioned to his new position at SLU, he asked Dr. Zimmerelli to co-director The Baltimore Story with Stephanie Flores-Koulish.  She is very excited to support the continued efforts of this exciting project.
