Allen Brizee

PROJECT CO-DIRECTOR

Dr. Brizee is an Associate Professor of English in the English Department and the Director of Writing Across the Curriculum at Saint Louis University. Using civic engagement, he teaches first-year writing, rhetoric, web writing, and technical writing. He also publishes on issues of social justice.

He previously served as Faculty Director for Community-Engaged Learning and Scholarship in Loyola University Maryland’s Center for Community Service and Justice. In that role, Dr. Brizee worked with community members, students, staff, and faculty members to bring about positive change in Baltimore. While at Loyola University Maryland, Dr. Brizee launched The Baltimore Story. He continues to co-direct the project and hopes to start a sister project in Saint Louis soon. Dr. Brizee is project co-director along with Lisa Zimmerelli and Stephanie Flores-Koulish.
